What is Invisalign?

Invisalign offers an alternative to braces for correcting an irregular bite and straightening crooked teeth. They consist of sets of clear aligners that fit over your teeth. Dr. Hardy customizes the aligners to your smile goals; you change sets every week or two as your teeth gradually shift into the desired position. 

You wear the aligners 20-22 hours each day, and your treatment plan lasts anywhere from six months to a couple of years. You usually get results faster than you would with traditional braces. 

How can Invisalign improve my smile?

If you have orthodontic concerns, Invisalign is an option. The aligners can help most bite problems, including:

What is the process of getting Invisalign?

Dr. Hardy does a thorough evaluation of your bite. She takes a 3D scan of your teeth to determine your treatment plan. She sends the scans and your treatment process to the Invisalign lab for fabrication. 

The office will receive your aligners in about six weeks. At this point, you come in for a fitting. Sometimes, Dr. Hardy attaches small tooth-colored “buttons” to your teeth to attach the aligners. Dr. Hardy removes them when your treatment is complete. 

You get all the instructions about how and when to switch aligner trays as well as information about care and use. 

What are the benefits of Invisalign?
